National Sewa Day

How to Get Involved as an Organisation

To participate as an organisation and organise an event just get in contact with us, we will help you with ideas, help market the event and even help get participants. Below are some key points you need to know:

Rules of participation:

  1. All activities must meet one of the following criteria:
    • To alleviate hardship & poverty
    • To promote and preserve our environment
    • To bring joy where little exists
  2. National Sewa Day 2010, we don’t ask for your money, we ask for your time. No fund-raising will take place on National Sewa Day.
  3. All activities must be completed on the same day.
  4. You must have registered your participation with the National Sewa Day team

What’s the benefit to our organisation?

Lots. Whether you’re a large or small organisation, you have another activity offer your members. By doing so, you increase the chances of attracting new people, recruiting volunteers for other events, and more importantly, you get the opportunity to meet like-minded people from a multitude of organisations, who you would normally not have known of.

What commitment is required from us?

We require you to appoint one main coordinator whose main responsibility is to organise events for your organisation on NSD and coordinate with the central team. We will also be conducting workshops on how to gain media coverage for your NSD activities, for which you’ll need another person from your organisation to attend.

If we’re doing the work, what will the NSD team be doing?

We will help and facilitate activities. We will provide the backbone to ensure you have a successful day. Our vision is to persuade tens of thousands to participate in NSD. We will also be organising an event two weeks after NSD, to celebrate our milestones.
